Genisis 1:1-10 ruminations

I'm not ascribing to the thought that a being created the universe.  You may call me short-sighted or far-sighted (which I am right now since breaking my glasses the other night while dancing) if you like.  I mean how can I attribute the forming of the universe (to anything at all) if I myself do not have a grasp on it?

I have belief in a higher language though, one that is not much implemented in the Bible (to my knowledge).  It is that of mathematics (ultimately leading to the practices of the sciences), which is as a communion between nature and man, that I can stake a reason for the universe's existence on.

I don't want to be patronizing to anyone and so I'll post this before continuing on with my thought.  It's only the start anyway and I would like others input/viewpoints so I do not become entrenched in my own opinion.
